A LIMITED EDITION COLLABORATION CELEBRATING THE MAGIC OF NEW YORK
My heart is truly full announcing this very special collaboration. If you know me from growing up you know this is a dream for me - besides being an OG Terez fan - embellishing literally anything has always been a favorite (my first Instagram account was @myembellishedlife) The opportunity to create this collection of Upcycled Levi's for Zara's store was heaven.
Let's back up for a second.
Back in 1988 (!!!) my amazing mother-in-law Linda created her own version of this NYC jacket. She had a small stint in embellishing and drawing on clothes before going back to work as a teacher in Merrick, NY when my husband Jared was little.
Fast forward to September 2011.
Jared and I had been dating for a couple months and he brought me home for Rosh Hashanah; I wore an embellished jacket of my own. Linda noticed and immediately shared her project with me from her new mom days. We clicked, and she gave me her original NYC jacket!

September 2015.
Fast forward a marriage, 2 kids and a business launch later, and I wore my vintage Levi's jacket with my new Blue Marble Geo Maxi to a Hustle Like a Mom event at the Terez store on the Upper East Side on October 26, 2022. All the girls in the store loved it and wanted me to recreate it for them to sell. My brain exploded! My heart sang.

From the time I sourced the first jacket on Halloween in between kids parades to attaching the final tags in my rhinestone factory (aka dining room, sorry Jared) ... I have slept so well and been on cloud 9 for days.
I am deeply proud to share these one of a kind, truly sparkling New York City pieces of art. If you can't find me this week, I'll be visiting them in the city. That is... until they sell out ;)
